The 0.5-board-to-board dual-slot connector is a high-density and high-stability board-to-board connection component, suitable for various electronic devices that aim for slim design and multi-functional integration. With its 0.5mm precise spacing and dual-slot locking structure, it perfectly meets the requirements for high-strength signal and power transmission between two PCB boards. The following will provide a detailed analysis based on industry standard and product characteristics: 


Core parameters and structural advantages 

0.5mm spacing: As the mainstream spacing for precision-level board-to-board connectors, the extremely fine pin spacing of 0.5mm enables a large number of contacts to be arranged in a very small space. The pin count generally ranges from 2X4P to 2X50P, and some models even reach 200P. This can meet the requirements for multi-channel signal transmission in complex devices, and at the same time helps the PCB board achieve high-density wiring, providing support for the miniaturization of electronic devices. 

Double-slot and Mother Seat: "Double-slot" refers to the connector having two对接card slots on the top and bottom. Compared to the single-slot version, this structure can form two-way positioning, and the fit with the male seat during connection is higher. It can effectively resist horizontal displacement and vibration, avoiding connection loosening. The "mother seat" is the passive对接end and has pin slots. It needs to be paired with a 0.5BTB male seat of the same specification and is welded onto the PCB board to form a complete inter-board transmission link. Additionally, its height options are diverse, including common specifications such as H2.2, H3.0, and H4.0, etc. It can be flexibly adapted according to the thickness of the equipment. 


Material and Core Performance 

The contact terminals of this mother board are mostly made of phosphor bronze, and their surfaces are often gold-plated. This not only enables the contact resistance to be kept within an extremely low range, ensuring that the signal transmission is distortion-free, but also the gold coating can enhance the oxidation resistance and wear resistance, allowing the insertion and removal life to reach several thousand times, meeting the frequent insertion and removal requirements during the maintenance of equipment modules. The insulators are mostly made of PA9T or LCP engineering plastics. These materials can withstand the 260℃ infrared reflow soldering temperature, are suitable for SMT automated chip placement production, and at the same time comply with the UL94 V-0 fire safety standard, operating stably within the wide temperature range of -40℃ to 125℃, and are suitable for complex working conditions. Moreover, some models have an insulating wall at the bottom, which can prevent the PCB traces from contacting the metal terminals, ensuring electrical safety. 


Typical application scenarios 

It is the core connector of precision electronic equipment. In the field of consumer electronics, it is widely used for connecting the mainboard of smartphones with cameras and fingerprint recognition modules, as well as the connection between the main control board of tablets and the display driver board. In wearable devices such as TWS headphones and smartwatches, it is suitable for the compact layout of their internal multi-layer PCB stacking. Moreover, in automotive electronics such as millimeter-wave radars, in-vehicle infotainment systems, and the connection between industrial sensor modules and main control boards, it also plays an important role due to its stable performance.
